He started his career in Setur Turistik Yatırım A.Ş. as Sales and Marketing Coordinator in 1991. Between 1995 and 2001 Akarca worked in marketing and management positions in some companies other than Koç Group. He re-joined to Koç Group as General Manager of BookinTurkey in 2001. He was transferred to Koç.net as Assistant General Manager responsible from Marketing and Business Development in 2003 and has been working as General Manager since January (2005-2011), and between 2011 – 2012 he worked as Marketing Services Assistant General Manager of Koç Zer A.S. After that Mr. Akarca joined to Turk Telekom. Mr. Mehmet Ali Akarca was Vice President of the Marketing and Communications Department (2012–2013), Corporate Customer Vice President (2013-2015 ) and CEO of the Corporate Business Unit of Turk Telekom (2014-2017) and he joined KoçSistem in April 2017 as CEO. Mr. Mehmet Ali Akarca graduated from University of Nottingham School of Economics in 1990 and got his post graduate degree in Marketing and Tourism with honour degree in 1991. Akarca was born in İstanbul in 1969, married, has a son and a daughter. He speaks English and French.
