Membership Criteria
The association has two types of members:
a) Permanent Members: Permanent members are natural and legal persons who have the qualifications for membership specified in the statute, have legal capacity, are over eighteen years of age, and have had their membership accepted by the board of directors of the association by accepting all the provisions of the statute. Each regular member has the right to participate in the activities of the association, participate in its management, and cast one vote at the general assembly. The member must cast their vote in person. If a legal entity is a member, the chairman of the board of directors of the legal entity or the person authorized to represent it will cast the vote. When the term of office of this person in the position of chairman or representative ends, a new person to cast the vote on behalf of the legal entity is determined. Liaison offices of foreign companies in Turkey may also become regular members in accordance with the statute, provided that they are accepted for membership, but such liaison offices must appoint a person to cast the vote on their behalf.
b) Honorary Members: Honorary members are members who have been identified as close to the association and whose selection is deemed beneficial and honorable for the association, and who have been given the title of honorary membership by the board of directors. Unlike permanent members, honorary members do not have the right to vote. They may be invited to speak at meetings for advisory purposes, and they may benefit from all the facilities of the association. If they wish, they may also pay dues like other members.
