"Initiative for Transition into High Technology in Industry - Information Technology and Industry Summit, Turkey" held in cooperation of TUBISAD and T.R. Ministry of Science, Industry And Technology.
Information Technology and Industry Summit, Turkey was organized at Intercontinental Hotel Istanbul on Marc 16, 2018 by TUBISAD and T.R. Ministry of Science, Industry And Technology within the framework of "Initiative for Transition into High Technology in Industry" initiated in order to increase added value and advanced technology in industrial production.
Minister of Science, Industry And Technology Dr. Faruk Özlü also participated the sum inmit and in the summit, President of TUBISAD Kübra Karaca said that the sectors of information and communication technologies should achieve an annual average growth rate of about 2 times higher than the growth in 2016 in order to reach the target for 2023.
Minister of Science, Industry And Technology Faruk Özlü made the opening speech in the summit and said the world is shaped by the revolution in information and communication technologies and make progress only therethrough and TUBISAD member should have their roles and responsibilities therein, then the summit was continued with discourse on Initiative for Transition into High Technology and production through domestic means and proposals were discussed.
Kübra Erman Karaca asserted that boosting domestic production and technologies by means of Turkey's transition to a digital economy based on high technology would only be possible if it would be adopted by public and private sectors and also whole society, the development of domestic production and technology, and continued her speech saying that "The initiative of T.R. Ministry of Science, Industry And Technology will have our full support and we will hopefully have many occasions for cooperation."
