Emergence of a new comprehensive Standard for ICT Services
The extent, productivity, customer satisfaction, quality, security, reliability and sustainability of ICT Services is from now on certified by BIHIS.
BIHIS certifies ICT companies in line with the competitive international standards. New service standards are introduced for the ICT industry.
In today’s business world, where “Speed” and “Competititon” are recognized as the key words, it has become a vital issue for companies to follow latest technologies and adapt their existing ICT infrastructure accordingly, with the purpose of increasing business productivity.
Various expertise, support mechanisms and resources with different competencies are more and more needed for keeping ICT infrastructures running, in order to operate and manage them and to update the mentioned infrastructures according to changes.
For this reason; in order to cope with the changing technologies, not to loose competetive power, to better focus on areas of company’s expertise, to manage costs, utilise human resources efficiently, share risks, deal with the challenges in management and control of the support processes, companies receive ICT services from specialized ICT service provider companies instead of executing/ managing them with their inhouse resources.
In this context, TUBISAD (Informatics Industry Association) continues to support standardisation efforts in the ICT industry with the formerly called “btPOTA ICT Services Common Platform”, the BIHIS, with the purpose of increasing service quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction in the sector.
Who has already acquired BIHIS by now? Recently, BIHIS Certification Body approved qualification of the following firms for acquiring respective BIHIS Certificates; “BDH IT Support Services”, “IBM Turk”, “INFONET Communication Services” and “PROBIL “. Accordingly, total number of companies certified by BIHIS became six with “SIEMENS IT Solutions and Services” and “Koç Sistem IT Services” having have been certified initially.

Services Under Scope
BIHIS evaluates quality of services offered by ICT companies and certifies them according to the certificate levels “Silver”, “Gold”, “Platinum” and “Diamond” as defined by the BIHIS standards. Companies thereby committ on the extent, efficiency, customer satisfaction, quality, security, reliability and sustainability of the ICT services they are offering in the related BIHIS service categories of “Conventional Services”, “Outsourced Services”, “Solution Development and Customization Services” and “Consultancy Services”.
